A program of the Gloucester Meetinghouse Foundation (GMF), TownGreen2025 is committed to addressing the global problem of climate change at the local level. Our mission is to lead Cape Ann to carbon neutrality by 2025. Encompassing the City of Gloucester, as well as the towns of Rockport, Essex, and Manchester-by-the-Sea, TownGreen2025 focuses on four key program areas: energy efficiency, renewable energy, carbon sequestration, and outreach/education. The organization serves as a model for how regions can successfully tackle the challenges — and embrace the opportunities — presented by global warming.
